EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Happy Tuesday, Borderland. We saw a beautiful morning. Winds increased in the afternoon, and blowing dust is still on the radar going into the evening.
Fast forward to Wednesday, and windy conditions still stand along with morning shower chances. Scattered showers are most likely to happen before 7 a.m., and wind speeds will increase to 15-20 mph with gusts nearing 35 mph. A high near 68 is expected with a low near 46.
The next chance to see gusty and dusty conditions come Thursday. We’ll see a high near 75, blowing dust in some areas starting after noon, and gusts potentially reaching speeds of 40 mph. Showers are very likely after midnight, and wind speeds will increase to 30-35 mph, with wind gusts reaching speeds as high as 55 mph.
Friday is looking cooler but just as windy, with wind gusts also expected to get to 55 mph. We’ll see a high near 58 with a low around 40.
For the weekend, Saturday has a high near 60 with shower chances sticking around for the afternoon. If dusts blow, the most likely time is after 2 p.m. Winds will blow 20-25 mph with gusts near 35 mph.
Sunday is shaping up to be on the breezier side, with a high in the upper 60s and low near 40.
Monday, St. Patrick’s Day, will feature mostly sunny skies with a high near 80 and low around 40. Windy conditions return on Tuesday with cooler temperatures in store for Wednesday.
