EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Happy Sunday, El Paso. It was a weekend full of celebrations for college graduates in the region and hopefully the dust didn’t damper your fun!
Bad news, the conditions we have been seeing for the past few days will continue through Monday. Good news, the system that brought the strong winds exits Tuesday leaving behind beautiful weather.
On Monday, expect a high near 87 and a low near 57. The afternoon will be very windy and dusty with winds coming from the west around 25-30 mph. Gusts will reach speeds near 40 mph and continue through the night.
Tuesday, conditions flip where winds are on the lighter side and sunny skies prevail. A high near 86 is expected with a low near 62. Winds will blow from the north 5-7 mph, becoming westerly in the afternoon. Overnight, the skies will be mostly clear with calm winds closing out the day.
Wednesday begins a warmup trend with above-average temperatures. A high near 93 is expected with a low near 64 and mostly sunny skies. Calm winds will blow throughout the day at 5-7 mph.
Thursday, the high temperature will be in the upper 90s with an east wind coming in 5-10 mph, becoming southwesterly in the afternoon. The low will be 71 with mostly clear skies.
Friday through Sunday is where we see the high potentially hit 100 and even go a degree or two above the triple digits. Plenty of sunshine will be present during the weekend so plan accordingly with lots of hydration and sunscreen. The overnight lows for the weekend are expected to be in the lower 70s, very comfortable conditions.
