EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Happy Thursday, El Paso. After a gusty, dusty Christmas Day we saw mostly cloudy skies and cooler temperatures.
Similar temperatures and light winds are expected for Friday before a gradual warm-up starts on Saturday. Highs in the upper 60s with mostly sunny skies are forecasted, along with lows in the upper 30s and low 40s range.
For the most part, conditions will be quiet and calm until Monday. The last Monday of the year is on track to be the warmest day of the week that could potentially break the record high. Winds will also be a condition on this day, ranging from 10-15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.
The following day, New Year’s Eve, there will be a high near 64 with mostly sunny skies. Overnight temperatures will drop to the mid-30s range, making for a chilly start to 2025. For your New Year’s Day expect a high near 60 with slightly more cloud coverage.
Plenty of sunshine is in store for Thursday and Friday with highs in the low 60s and lows in the 30s. Next weekend will be warmer than average again with a high near 66.
