EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — After a few days of gusty, dusty conditions, the Borderland will see some relief from those strong winds.
Two cold fronts will be present this week, the first entering Saturday night. A low near 29 is expected, followed by a high near 50 for Sunday. Light winds ranging from 10-15 mph will be present along with mostly sunny skies.
Warmer temperatures are in store for Monday. We’ll see a high near 54 before cooling quite significantly overnight. This is when the second cold front enters the El Paso region, producing a cold Monday night into Tuesday morning with a low around 25.
Tuesday, we will see winds pick up speed again, with gusts reaching around 30 mph. Those winds will die down into the evening hours, but the cool temperatures remain. A low in the low 20s is anticipated, making Wednesday especially cold.
Wednesday onwards, conditions begin to calm down, with high temperatures gradually warming up a few degrees every day until Saturday where we see a high in the low 60s. Lows throughout this period will be in the upper 20s to low 30s.
