EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Happy Saturday, Borderland. The weather is very active this Saturday, but winds are predicted to diminish after 8 p.m. and become much lighter after midnight. There is a fire warning out as the Sun City is dry. Keep your outdoor fires at a minimal. ????
However, looking ahead into Sunday, we are forecasting sunny skies with breezy conditions. It’s going to feel much better than Saturday. The forecasted high sits at 72 degrees with an overnight low of 49 degrees.
Now, the solar eclipse is officially here! For the special day on Monday, we are forecasting dusty and gusty conditions for the Borderland with a high of 77 degrees and evening temperatures cooling off to 48 degrees.
The solar eclipse will take place at 11:09 a.m. Make sure to get your solar eclipse glasses ahead of time, and remember looking directly at the sun without eye protection can cause permanent eye injury.
In other news, Tuesday is forecasted to be paired with 20% chance of rain and chilly winds. The predicted high cools off to 66 degrees with an overnight low of 46 degrees.
Wednesday is looking rather fabulous if you ask me — sunny skies with 77 degrees as the predicted high and 51 degrees the evening temperature.
The eighties make a grand entrance for the remainder of the week!
Thursday warms up to 81 degrees and even our overnight lows warm up to 57 degrees.
Friday we are forecasting to see more haze like we did Easter Sunday. The high sits at 84 degrees with an overnight low of 59 degrees.
Saturday is forecasted to be 83 degrees and 58 degrees in the evening with windy conditions.
The remainder of the week is paired with breezy conditions with highs still sit in the lower 80s while our overnight lows cool off to 58 degrees, both Saturday and Sunday.
