What a fabulous weather day with clouds, showers, and isolated t-storms. Though most evaporated before it hit the ground, such as in this picture from Weather Watcher Vivian Corral, some drops fell through, cooling us off. The official high today was 86, and we received a trace of rain at the airport.
TONIGHT: The skies will be partly to mostly cloudy with a few lingering isolated showers. The NW winds will range from 10-35 mph with stronger gusts on the east slopes. The low will drop to 60.
FORECAST: Friday will be partly cloudy in the morning, mostly sunny in the afternoon. The winds will be lighter, out of the NW at 10-20 mph. Friday’s high: 90. High pressure starts to build up in a dramatic way for the weekend. Saturday will be sunny with fairly light winds and a high of 96. Sunday will be partly cloudy and even hotter with a high of 99. The SW winds will range from 10-25 mph. Monday will be mostly sunny with hot, gusty winds. The SW winds will peak near 55 mph, which will cause a dusty haze. Monday’s high will be 101 which, if we hit it, will be the first triple digit day of the year. Tuesday will be sunny and windy (no dust) with a high of 93. Wednesday will be sunny and windy (no dust) with a high of 91.
