EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Country musician Abe Mac will be back in his hometown of El Paso this week to spread holiday cheer to schools as part of his annual Spread the Holiday Cheer concert series.
Spread the Holiday Cheer is now in its third year. It is a 30-minute interactive show in which the singer-songwriter performs live renditions of Christmas carols and reads from his children’s book, “Christmas Snow.”
This year, he will be visiting six schools from Socorro Independent School District, El Paso ISD and the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo.
“I’m excited and grateful to continue this tradition of giving back,” Mac said. “Our goal is to bring smiles to children, inspire them to dream big and ignite a passion for music, writing, and storytelling. A big thank you to Speaking Rock for their incredible partnership and belief in this program. They’ve helped us turn a vision into a reality.”
Mac also will host “A Honkytonk Christmas” at 8 p.m. Dec. 14 at The Plaza Theatre. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door. The venue has a clear bag policy and accepts only debit, credit, and mobile payments. Visit elpasolive.com for more info.
“We have something incredible planned for our ‘Honkytonk Christmas’ show this year,” he said. “We hope the community can join us for a great night out with family and friends.”
Abe Mac is a Socorro ISD alumni, a UTEP graduate, and a former member of the Miners football team. The country artist is best known for his hit songs “Crazy” and “Square One.”
