The Texas Department of Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has issued an Ozone Action Day for the El Paso Area from 6 AM to 9 PM Wednesday.
Atmospheric conditions are expected to be favorable for producing high levels of ozone pollution in the El Paso area. You can help prevent ozone Pollution by sharing a ride, walking, riding a bicycle, taking your lunch to work, avoiding drive through lanes, conserving energy and keeping your vehicle properly tuned. TONIGHT: The skies will be mostly clear with just a few clouds. We’ll have the slightest chance of an isolated or stray area shower, but otherwise skies will turn clear overnight. The SE wind will range from 5-10 mph. The low will drop to 72.
FORECAST: Wednesday will be partly cloudy and hotter with a high of 98. We’ll have a chance of isolated late day showers popping up around the Borderland, but the chance of rain is very low. Thursday will be mostly sunny, hot, and dry with a high of 101. The south-SE winds will range from 5-15 mph. Friday will be partly cloudy with a high of 100. Expect widely scattered t-showers by late Friday. Saturday will be partly to mostly cloudy with potentially strong t-showers and brief, heavy rain. Saturday’s high: 96.
