EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — An airman stationed at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque is missing following an incident on Saturday evening, May 24 at Elephant Butte Lake State Park, the Air Force base said in a news release.
The airman was not identified by name, only that they are assigned to the 351st Special Warfare Training Squadron at Kirtland.
Local emergency agenies, including Elephant Butte park rangers, the Elephant Butte Fire Department, the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish and New Mexico State Police, are searching for the missing airman.
The base did not provide any other details, but said the incident is under investigation.
