EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — While the 2025 MountainStar Sports Group Amigo Airsho was canceled this weekend because of the ongoing government shutdown, organizers are planning a special community event as a way of saying thank you.
The special community Aviation Experience will be held from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 19 at War Eagles Air Museum, 8012 Airport Road in Santa Teresa.
All 2025 Airsho ticket holders, sponsors, and volunteers are invited to attend the event for free.
“The MountainStar Sports Group Amigo Airsho team and extend heartfelt thanks to the community, partners, and volunteers for their continued support and understanding,” organizers said in a press release.
While this year’s Airsho was canceled due to the ongoing government shutdown, War Eagles Air Museum is hosting this free appreciation event to thank the community for “its incredible support, patience, and understanding during these unprecedented times,” organizers said.
