EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The Airport Advisory Board for the Doña Ana County International Jetport at Santa Teresa is seeking applicants to serve on the seven-member body, the County announced in a news release.
The county said applications are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 30.
Applicants must reside in Doña Ana County or El Paso. Licensed pilots are encouraged to apply, the County said.
The County said members work closely with the jetport manager, county engineer, planning director, and a County Attorney’s Office representative to identify safety, growth, development, or administration issues relevant to the airport.
The County said selected applicants will fulfill a three-year term, which will run from July 1 through June 30, 2028.
“Board members serve staggered three-year terms, meet monthly and periodically report to the Board of County Commissioners, recommend changes or inform about upcoming challenges and opportunities in the airport’s operations or administration,” read the news release.
All Airport Advisory Board meetings comply with the New Mexico Open Meetings Act, which means they are open to the public, and agendas for regular and special meetings are published at least 72 hours before the meetings and posted on the Doña Ana County website, the County said.
