Posted on June 17, 2025

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), along with the Las Cruces Police Department, is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the fatal shooting of a 14-year-old boy earlier this month after a road rage incident in Las Cruces.

As we have previously reported, Alejandro Roman was shot and killed at around 9 p.m. Monday night, June 2, while sitting in the backseat of a vehicle near the intersection of Solano Drive and Spruce Avenue.

Roman suffered at least one gunshot wound and died at the scene, Las Cruces Police said.

The suspect is believed to be a male who was driving a white Honda Odyssey or a similar vehicle, such as a minivan or a sport utility vehicle, police said.
