EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Balance is what makes life better. We need to balance our checkbook. We need to balance our eating and drinking habits. Balance is even more critical as we age, especially concerning our bodies. We need to work on our balance to avoid falls and fractures. A hip fracture can be life-threatening.
I’m low to the ground at 5’2” but still need to keep my balance. I’m doing special exercises in the gym to strengthen my core and prevent falls. Balancing exercises is challenging and requires mental strength and concentration. Believe it or not, I work up a sweat!
I tell my children I work hard in the gym daily, and they don’t believe me. So here’s proof that I can balance on one leg, even wearing a dress and platform shoes!
