EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Body cam footage released by the El Paso Police Department showed the arrest of a man who was driving drunk last week on the Westside.
According to El Paso Police, on Aug. 24, officers conducted a traffic stop along the 5800 block of N Mesa St. and determined that Robert Munoz Melendez was driving while intoxicated.
In the bodycam footage, officers are seen conducting field sobriety tests on Melendez, such as following the officer’s finger with eyes only and attempting to walk in a straight line.
Then, officers are seen handcuffing Melendez, placing him in the cruiser and taking him to a police station.
Melendez was charged with driving while intoxicated with a $5,000 bond.
