KTSM News – BREAKING: Soldiers arrive at home where sign alleges 30 bodies buried

Posted on February 13, 2024

EL PASO, Texas (Border Report) – Police in Juarez, Mexico, are investigating yet another quadruple murder and a sign left on a bridge allegedly pointing to a home where 30 bodies are buried.

The four bodies showing signs of violence were left on the bed of a pickup abandoned along the busy Pan American Highway around 3 a.m. Tuesday in south Juarez. Images obtained by a KTSM/Border Report camera crew show the men wrapped in blankets, their bodies bruised and, in one case, showing an apparent bullet entry wound in the back of the head.

Shortly after, police on the opposite side of the city – the Altavista neighborhood near the U.S. border – were tipped to a sign left on an overpass warning of the impending release of a murder suspect and gang leader who was arrested late last year as part of the binational Se Busca Informacion (Border’s Most Wanted) program. The sign accused the man of burying 30 bodies in a home and provided the address of the home.

Border Report reached out to the Chihuahua Attorney General’s Office to find out if a search warrant of the home was in the works to verify the allegation. A state official said he was not aware of the sign but would look into the matter.

Early Tuesday afternoon, reporters witnessed the arrival of military vehicles to the home and soldiers carrying rifles standing guard.
