EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso Children’s Hospital Foundation said it has raised more than $52,000 through this year’s Miracle Balloon Campaign in partnership with Costco.
The money will be used to support life-saving care and critical programs for children in the region, the foundation said.

“This year’s campaign saw a remarkable increase of over 30% compared to last year’s total, thanks to the generosity of Costco shoppers and the dedication of Costco employees. Every dollar raised during the campaign stays local, directly benefiting El Paso Children’s Hospital and helping ensure that every child receives the best possible care, regardless of their ability to pay,” the foundation said.
The successful campaign was made possible through the “passionate involvement of every department at Costco,” the foundation said.
“Costco employees created a months-long calendar filled with fun, themed dress-up days, bringing energy and joy to the campaign while encouraging donations at the register. From superheroes to wear pink on Wednesdays, the entire team rallied together in the name of a greater cause,” the foundation said in its news release.
“We are truly inspired by the generosity of our El Paso community and the incredible team at Costco,” said Alexa Velasquez, program director of Children’s Miracle Network at El Paso Children’s Hospital Foundation. “These funds will help us continue our mission of advancing pediatric health care in the Borderland. Together, we are making a lasting impact on the lives of children and families who need us most.”
