EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Cancer survivors in the El Paso area gathered on Saturday afternoon, June 7 at Cielo Vista Mall to celebrate that they have “given cancer the boot.”
The fourth annual Cancer Survivor Line Dance Celebration was held Saturday at the mall to celebrate local cancer warriors and their victories of the disease.
In honor of National Cancer Survivor Month, Cielo Vista Mall teamed up with the Rio Grande Cancer Foundation to host the event with the theme of “give cancer the boot.”
The event featured line dancing, prizes, art exhibits and other activities and festivities celebrating and recognizing cancer survivors.
The celebration kicked off with a costume dance contest with participants competing for a $200 gift card prize.
