EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Canutillo Independent School District announced the appointment of a new purchasing agent on Monday, July 14.
According to the news release by Canutillo ISD, Veronica M. Campbell was appointed as the school district’s new purchasing agent, leading the “procurement and purchasing operations.”

Campbell has previously worked with the school district as a purchasing agent, from 2015 to 2016, Canutillo ISD said.
Additionally, Campbell brings nearly 15 years of experience in procurement across municipal and school district settings, Canutillo ISD said.
“We are thrilled to welcome back Ms. Campbell to Canutillo and count on her wealth of experience,” Superintendent Pedro Galaviz said. “Her knowledge of procurement procedures and laws will help us streamline our efforts to provide services and goods to our students, employees and taxpayers.”
Canutillo ISD said that before her new position, Campbell also worked with the El Paso and Clint independent school districts, as well as the City of El Paso.
Campbell holds a bachelor of arts in political science from the University of Texas at El Paso and a master’s degree in management and leadership from Webster University, Canutillo ISD said.
Furthermore, Canutillo ISD said Campbell is a certified Texas contract manager, a registered Texas Association of School Business Officials (TABSO) school business administrator and a certified public procurement officer.
