EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – A ribbon-cutting ceremony and a community block party will take place this weekend to celebrate the grand opening of the newly renovated Westway Park in Canutillo, the El Paso County said in a news release.
The celebration will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 24, at the Westway Park, 1301 Zinn Rd.
The County said the revitalized park features a brand-new basketball court, upgraded playground and shade structure, additional sidewalks, picnic areas, and native landscaping.
Additionally, the block party will feature music, BBQ, family activities, and a youth basketball scrimmage between the EP Bears and Blaze Fusion at 11 a.m., the County said.
