EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The City of El Paso continues to seek payment from former President Donald Trump’s campaign visit to El Paso back in 2019.
The City sent an updated invoice statement which states the Trump campaign owes over $500,000.
The City says the former president’s campaign owes $470,417.05 in initial costs and a one-time late fee of $98,787.58 totaling $569,204.63.
This comes after Trump accepted the Republican Party’s presidential nomination at the Republican National Convention in July for the 2024 presidential election.
Vice President Kamala Harris secured the Democratic presidential nomination this month as President Joe Biden dropped out of the race in July, ending his bid for reelection.
Biden intends on serving the remainder of his term in office and also endorsed Harris to take on Trump.
Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are set to debate in September on ABC.
