KTSM News – City of El Paso asks community to celebrate newly renovated fire station

Posted on April 16, 2024

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The City of El Paso wants the community to celebrate the completion of a newly renovated fire station in Central El Paso.

The community is invited to come out to the grand reopening of Fire Station No. 10 at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 17 at 1801 Montana Avenue.

The $2.3 million reconstruction was funded in 2019 through the voter-approved Public Safety Bond Program, according to the news release by the City.

“The City is investing in El Paso and delivering on its steadfast commitment to safeguarding lives and property thanks to the voter-approved 2019 Public Safety Bond program. In neighborhoods across the City, we are modernizing aging facilities to maintain El Paso’s standing as one of the nation’s safest cities, build up community involvement in resident safety, take proactive approaches to prevent fire and medical incidents, lower regional risk, and improve public safety operational efficiencies,” said Deputy City Manager, Mario D’Agostino.

The newly renovated fire station meets National Fire Protection Association standard for minimizing fire risks and other hazards, according to the City.
