KTSM News – City of El Paso hosts event recognizing future soldiers enlisting in military

Posted on April 8, 2024

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The City of El Paso is inviting the community to join local leaders in acknowledging local high school seniors enlisting in the United States Armed Services.

“Our Community Salutes” will be a Facebook Live celebration starting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, according to a press release from the City.

“This event is a wonderful opportunity for our community to commend the young men and women who have made the selfless and brave decision to put their community first. ‘Our Community Salutes’ also pays tribute to the parents and guardians who are saying goodbye for now to their child and loved ones before they embark on a new journey,” said City of El Paso’s Chief Military Officer Paul Albright.
