EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The City of El Paso is asking the community for their input about the future growth and development.
“Envision El Paso” is a questionnaire that covers various topics of El Paso’s growth and development, including housing, economic development, fiscal responsibility and equity, according to the news release by the City.
“We all have aspirations for our city’s future, and now is the time to share those visions. We believe that by working together, we can build a future for El Paso that is vibrant, inclusive, and prosperous for all. ‘Envision El Paso’ allows everyone to be a part of the conversation and help guide the direction of our city’s growth and development. Most importantly we are focused on reaching people who have historically not participated in citywide planning efforts,” said Alex Hoffman, capital improvement assistant director for the City of El Paso.
Residents can complete the survey by clicking here.
According to the City, by gathering input from the community, the City can develop a comprehensive plan that reflects community values, goals and priorities for transportation, housing, economic development, fiscal responsibility and equity.
Envision El Paso will also include a series of pop-up events throughout the city, where “Envision Ambassadors” will ask residents to take a survey and provide feedback through the website.
“These ambassadors are community members chosen based on their knowledge, experience, and commitment to El Paso. They will gather feedback and ensure all voices are heard. These pop-up events and other outreach events are designed to foster and gain input from residents,” according to the news release.
