EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — If you want to learn more about the City of El Paso’s Public Art Program, you can attend one of several open house meetings this week.
The City’s Museums and Cultural Affairs Department (MCAD) will host three meetings where you can learn more and also provide input into the development of a new Public Art Master Plan.
The public is encouraged to attend any of the following open-house meetings:
Tuesday, April 8
5:30 p.m. at Esperanza Acosta Moreno Library, 12480 Pebble Hills Blvd.
Wednesday, April 9
5:30 p.m. at Northgate Transfer Center at Metro 31, 9348 Diana Dr.
Thursday, April 10
5:30 p.m. at Sylvia A. Carreon Community Center, 709 Lomita Dr.
Each session will feature presentations by City staff and Public Art Program leaders, offering insights into the program’s history and the vision for its future, the City said in its news release.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in interactive activities designed to capture community perspectives and priorities for public art in El Paso.
“Community input is essential to shaping the next decade of the Public Art Program, which has completed 94 projects since its launch in 2006,” the City said.
