EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The City of El Paso will host a community meeting about proposed updates to the City’s zoning ordinance, known as Title 20.
This includes key amendments related to accessory dwelling units, off-street parking requirements and updated definitions to reflect new housing types.
The meeting will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 14, in the Main Conference Room at City Hall, 300 N. Campbell Street.
Attendees will have the opportunity to:
- Learn about the proposed changes, project boundary, and public engagement process
- Understand how the amendments aim to promote new housing options and support investment and development in El Paso
- Ask questions and provide feedback on specific topics including:
- Increased flexibility to build accessory dwelling units
- Reduced off-street parking requirements, giving homeowners and businesses more autonomy
- Updated and new definitions to better reflect emerging housing types and development needs
The meeting will feature a presentation-style format followed by a question-and-answer session.
