EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The City of El Paso wants to hear your voice about the City’s budgetary priorities.
The annual Chime In! survey is back to capture public feedback on City services. Residents who take the survey will have the opportunity to participate in a focus group to discuss and identify services that are most meaningful to them, according to the City.
Survey results will give City leaders a blueprint for operating budgets and taxpayer services, according to the news release.
Last year, according to the City of El Paso, the budget included prioritizing public safety, streets and quality of life, as well as not increasing property taxes.
“Engaging the public in the budget process is a best management practice we utilize to empower City Council to adopt an annual budget that prioritizes essential expenses and supports services valued by the community,” said Deputy City Manager and Chief Financial Officer Robert Cortinas
The City of El Paso’s fiscal budget for 2025 must be adopted by Aug. 31.
