EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A Ciudad Juarez native opened up a snack spot in East El Paso that serves “antojitos” or Mexican-inspired snacks for the community.
Aldo Chairez, owner of Super Snacks, says the business was opened last year in September and focuses on using products from Mexico.
The business, located at 1810 George Dieter offers a superhero theme decor paired with Mexican-inspired snacks like corn in a cup, prepared chips, prepared Maruchan cups, prepared Japanese peanuts, chilindrinas, authentic agua frescas, and more.

Chairez says the business offers the community something extra, an “antojito” after eating lunch or dinner.
“A lot of people like Mexican snacks all in general, we try to give our people here in El Paso a little bit of everything,” Chairez said.
Chairez says he is originally from Juarez, Mexico, and says that these types of snacks are popular in Mexico and in El Paso.
Chairez says he went with the superhero theme because it’s kid-friendly and it welcomes families. The business also streams superhero movies and has giveaways for children.
The most popular snacks are currently the Tostitos preparados or chorreados which come with chips, corn, nacho cheese, sour cream, Valentina hot sauce, and powdered cheese.
The business is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Chairez says he’s planning on opening more places in El Paso in the near future.
“Come visit us, give us a try, we know you’ll love it,” Chairez said.
