EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A civilian contractor died at Fort Bliss earlier this week, a spokesman for Fort Bliss confirmed.
The incident happened at about 12 p.m. on Monday, July 21 at Fort Bliss.
Fort Bliss emergency personnel were called out to an incident involving a civilian contractor.
On-site private and Fort Bliss emergency personnel responded and tried to do life-saving measures, the spokesman said.
“Our thoughts are with the family, friends, and coworkers of the deceased during this difficult time. Because it resulted in a fatality, the incident is currently under investigation by the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division,” the spokesman said.
Fort Bliss provided no other details.
Fort Bliss referred KTSM to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for further information.
