KTSM News – Clint to celebrate beginning of holiday season with tree lighting event

Posted on December 1, 2023

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Town of Clint will have its first-ever Christmas tree lighting celebration on Friday night, Dec. 1.

The event starts at 5:30 p.m., with the tree lighting set for 6 p.m., at the Town Hall, 200 N. San Elizario Road.

“Town staff, mayor, and council members are enthusiastic about establishing this event as a new town tradition, fostering unity and community spirit. The Christmas tree lighting aims to bring together families and friends for a joyous evening filled with music, hot chocolate, candy bags for kids, and the magical glow of holiday lights,” according to a news release sent out announcing the event.

Santa will also be available for photos from 6 to 7 p.m.

“We are filled with excitement and are hoping that this inaugural celebration will set the stage for an annual tradition that residents can look forward to for years to come. Our goal is to create and grow these types of events that can bring the Town of Clint together in the true spirit of the season. We hope that our residents will enjoy and help us make it better every year,” said Mayor Ramon Cano Jr.

For more information and event updates, residents are encouraged to follow the Town of Clint’s official social media channels and website.
