EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Here is a look at closures and adjusted schedules for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, Nov. 28, and Black Friday on Friday, Nov. 29.
City of El Paso
In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, all City of El Paso administrative offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28, and Friday, Nov. 29. Administrative offices will resume business on Monday, Dec. 2.

Commissioners Court will not meet on Dec. 2, and County business will resume the following meeting on Monday, Dec. 9 starting at 9:30 a.m.

In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, most City of Las Cruces offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28, and Friday, Nov. 29.
However, all emergency services, including police and fire will operate as usual.

The curbside recycling collection that was supposed to be collected on Thursday, Nov. 28, will instead be collected on Friday, Nov. 29. Friday’s curbside recycling collection will occur as scheduled.
The Foothills Landfill, 555 S. Sonoma Ranch Boulevard, will operate from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30.
RoadRUNNER Transit and Dial-A-Ride will operate on a Saturday level of service from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29.
City Solid Waste Residential Collection and Grappler Collections through Wednesday, Nov. 27 will occur as normal; No residential solid waste collection will occur Thanksgiving Day; both Thursday and Friday residential solid waste collections will occur Friday, Nov. 29. Collection routes not completed Friday, Nov. 29 will be completed Saturday, Nov. 30 beginning at 6 a.m.
City Solid Waste Commercial Collection revised schedule: Monday’s collections will be collected on Sunday, Nov 24 beginning at 6 a.m.; Tuesday’s collections will be collected on Monday, Nov. 25 beginning at 6 a.m.; Wednesday’s collections will be collected on Tuesday, Nov. 26 beginning at 6 a.m.; Thursday’s collections will be collected on Wednesday, Nov. 27 beginning at 6 a.m.; There will be no collections on Thursday, Nov. 28; Friday and Saturday collections will run as normal.
Meerscheidt Recreation Center will be open from 1-5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29.
Las Cruces Natatorium will be open from 7:30 a.m. to noon on Friday, Nov. 29.
Doña Ana County
Most Doña Ana County administrative offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Emergency services, including law enforcement and fire will not be affected by the closure. County offices will resume regular hours of operation at 8 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2.
Doña Ana Community College
Doña Ana Community College (DACC) says all campuses and centers will be closed in observance of the Thanksgiving Day holiday.
There will be no classes for students from Monday, Nov. 25 to Friday, Nov. 29. Offices will be open Monday, Nov. 25 through Wednesday, Nov. 27. All campuses and centers will be closed Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29.
