EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The community is invited to the free Children’s Bike Safety event at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7 at the Northeast El Paso Sam’s Club parking lot.
The event, which is sponsored by the University Medical Center and Sam’s Club, will kick off with a bike safety class featuring stations and courses taught by certified cycling instructors and injury prevention specialists who will allow children of all ages to learn about the importance of laws and safety when riding bikes, according to a news release sent by the City of El Paso.
The City said a bike maintenance station will be available for free inspections minor repairs or repair guidance.
The event will also feature free snacks, water, gear giveaways and more while supplies last.
The City said the event will help educate and promote safe biking and an active lifestyle for the youth.
