KTSM News – ComSAR deploys to Franklin Mts. for 2 potential rescue operations

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso’s Combined Search and Rescue Team has responded to two separate reports of hikers in need of assistance on Sunday, Aug. 18 in the Franklin Mountains, the department said.

ComSAR has deployed to the Thousand Steps Trail along the 4900 block of North Stanton in West El Paso.

ComSAR has also responded to a second potential mountain rescue at Chuck Heinrich Park at 11055 Andrew Barcena Dr. in Northeast El Paso.

Currently, no injuries have been reported.
