Even though we did not receive any rain at the airport today, we are still in good shape on the Rain Almanac. We can thank 3 individual days in October (11, 12, and 13th) for giving us 27.5% of our year’s rain in just three days. Here’s the Rain Almanac, and as you can see, we are officially “above normal.” We’ve receive 9.01 inches at the airport, and normal would be 7.56 inches.

TONIGHT: The skies will be partly cloudy with moderately gusty winds early in the evening. The SW winds will range from 10-35 mph (strongest on the east slopes), but the winds will die down late evening. We’ll have one last chance of some isolated, passing showers this evening, especially in far east El Paso County. We could even see an isolated area t-storm out there before the skies clear. Skies will begin to clear late evening, and the low will drop to 58.
FORECAST: Friday will be mostly sunny and cooler with a high of 78. The winds, especially in the morning, will feel chilly at times. The west winds will gust to 25 mph, stronger on the east slopes. Take a jacket to Football Friday night because it will be chilly after the sun sets. Saturday will be a sunny day with cool morning breezes and a lovely afternoon. Saturday’s high: 80. Sunday will be sunny and warmer with a high of 83. The afternoon will be breezy with SW winds at 10-25 mph. Monday will be sunny and 84. Tuesday will be sunny and 83. On Wednesday, cooler winds move in with a cool front. The east-NE winds will range from 10-30 mph, and the high will drop to 75.
