EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A crash along Interstate 10 East near Downtown is impacting traffic on Friday afternoon, Aug. 30.
I-10 East is closed at Missori because of the crash, the Texas Department of Transporation said.
Backup is reported to Asarco and clearing time is until further notice.
One person was trapped in their vehicle and had to be extracted, a Fire Department spokesman said. That person was transported to the hospital with serious injuries (Code 3).
At least two vehicles were involved in the crash, the Fire Department spokesman said.
Motorists should look for alternate routes and avoid the area.
Thru traffic needs to use the Downtown Exit 19.
