EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) passed its most recent arsenic water sample tests for the sixth time in a row, the utility said in a press release Friday morning, June 7.
The utility provides water and wastewater services for Santa Teresa and Sunland Park.
The CRRUA says that arsenic levels from water samples taken on May 21 at three of the four arsenic treatment facilities are below the federal limit of 10 parts per billion (ppb).
The CRRUA provided a table of the sample results. Those results are displayed below.

The CRRUA says it excluded the Border Entry ATF from its “voluntary twice monthly testing this test period due to its continued meeting of all NMED requirements.
The CRRUA passed the previous five arsenic tests from water samples taken on May 7, April 16, NMED’s second quarter 2024 test taken on April 3, April 2, and March 18.
CRRUA voluntarily conducts twice monthly arsenic testing and NMED conducts quarterly testing, according to the utility.
The utility has been under fire for water quality issues. Residents in the area have told KTSM that they have had issues for months and some even say years.
