KTSM News – CRRUA says it has passed November arsenic tests

Posted on November 11, 2024

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) passed its voluntary monthly arsenic tests for November, as verified by an independent laboratory, the utility said late Monday night, Nov. 11.

CRRUA provides water and wastewater services to residents of Sunland Park and Santa Teresa.

Test results released by Eurofins Environment Testing, a water testing lab certified by the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED), show that arsenic levels at three arsenic treatment facilities (ATF) operated by CRRUA are below the federal limit of 10 parts per billion (ppb), the utility said.

CRRUA excluded the Border Entry ATF from its monthly voluntary testing due to its continued meeting of all NMED requirements.

Here is a look at test results from samples taken on Nov. 4, the utility said.
