KTSM News – CRRUA warns of possible water discoloration post-repair

Posted on September 3, 2025

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Anapra subdivision and surrounding area will experience an interruption in water service on Wednesday, Sept. 3, while a contractor repairs a water line leak, the Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) said in a news release.

Once water service is restored, CRRUA said customers may notice discoloration due to naturally occurring minerals in the distribution system.

The utility recommends waiting for the water to become clear before washing laundry.

The discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. If it does not, customers should run cold water for several minutes, CRRUA said.

For more information, contact CRRUA Customer Service at (575) 332-1076.
