EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The Camino Real Regional Utility Authority (CRRUA) said water service was restored in Sunland Park and Anapra following a water main break and a fire hydrant project that disrupted services on Wednesday morning, March 12.

CRRUA said construction activity led to a water main break on Aspen Drive between McNutt Road and Riverside Drive in Sunland Park. Birch Drive was also affected.
The utility said the incident was posted just before 11:20 a.m. on Wednesday and was later notified the water service was restored after 4 p.m.
The second incident happened in Anapra, where a fire hydrant project temporarily disrupted water service for approximately two hours, CRRUA said.
The utility said the incident happened shortly after 10:10 a.m.
“Once service is restored, water could appear discolored. Although the water is safe to drink, CRRUA recommends waiting to wash laundry until the water becomes clear,” read the news release by the utility regarding both incidents. “The discoloration should disappear within hours. If it does not, CRRUA recommends flushing all faucets for five minutes.”
