EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — All lanes on I-10 West at Geronimo are currently closed due to a diesel spill in the area, according to the El Paso Fire Department.
The Fire Department says the call came in just before 6 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21 on reports of oil or fuel on the roadway on I-10 West at Geronimo.
The Fire Department is calling the spill a hazmat condition 2 and seven units are at the scene cleaning up the spill.
All westbound traffic is currently exiting at Geronimo and motorists are asked to take an alternate route, TxDOT El Paso said.
TxDOT also says there is no word yet on how long the cleanup will take.
