EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The Doña Ana Community College (DACC)’s AVANZA program will host two free resource fairs in September.
The first fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11 at the DACC Gadsden Center, 1700 E. O’Hara Rd., in Anthony, New Mexico.
There will be community organizations from the Income Support Office, MET-Scholarships for farmworkers, Blue Cross Blue Shield, NM Legal Aid and more, according to a news release sent by DACC.
There will also be free lunch and dessert from Caliche’s while supplies last.
The second fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19 at the DACC East Mesa Campus, 2800 Sonoma Ranch Blvd., inside the student resources building.
DACC said resources such as Casa de Peregrinos, La Casa, U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, legal services and more will be available.
There will also be free giveaways and food from Acai with Me for the first 350 attendees.
“These events aim to connect our students and community members with valuable resources from both DACC and local partners. There are more than 50 community resource organizations invited to attend,” read the news release.
