EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Office (DASO) will conduct sobriety checkpoints and saturation patrols throughout May.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the sobriety checkpoints and saturation patrols will be from Thursday, May 1, through Friday, May 30.
The DWI enforcement effort is to “reduce DWI-related crashes, injuries and deaths,” according to DASO.
“The above projects (sobriety checkpoints and saturation patrols) will be held in undisclosed locations and areas within Doña Ana County, sometime between the hours of the time frame 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. on the respective days,” the Sheriff’s Office said.
According to DASO, deputies will be looking for all types of violations with emphasis on intoxicated drivers.
