Saturday will start out partly cloudy and mild with just a breeze. By midday, the winds will start to pick up. By afternoon, the SW winds will peak near 55 mph. This will cause blowing dust. Saturday’s high: 91. Sunday will be gusty and dusty with peak gusts near 55 mph. This will cause a dusty haze by late afternoon. Sunday’s high: 93. Monday will bring some of the strongest winds we’ve experienced in a long time. A powerful low-pressure system moves over the Borderland, and the west winds could gust near 70 mph. These powerful winds may cause damage to trees and powerlines. With a high of 87, expect a brown-out from dust by afternoon. Tuesday will be sunny with much lighter winds and no blowing dust.
