EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso Animal Services assisted an elderly man and his wife with nearly 40 dogs ate their home.
An elderly man was caring for his disabled wife and 40 dogs when Animal Services, Santa Teresa Lost and Found Rescue and Pawsitive Rescuers assisted by taking in 26 dogs, according to Animal Services.











In addition, nine dogs were taken to the Animal Services’ shelter and several others were rehomed, according to Animal Services.
Animal Services added that all the remaining dogs on the property have now vaccinated, microchipped and fixed.
For those who stepped in to help, the Animal Services is providing vaccines, microchips and spay or neuter services.
Animal Services is reminding residents that if you see something, say something and call 311 to prevent animal cruelty.
The Animal Protection Team received 622 calls and issued 263 violations last week, according to Animal Services.
