EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso County will officially begin demolition of the notorious former Valley Theatre/Naked Harem building on Friday, Jan. 31.
The demolition will be at 3 p.m. on Friday at 6345 Alameda Ave in South-Central El Paso.

According to past reporting by KTSM, the former Naked Harem strip club was shut down in 2006 after its owners were accused of using the business to promote prostitution among underage girls.
“This milestone marks the next phase of a transformative project to restore and heal a community that has endured decades of harm from the site which is now referred to by community stakeholders as the ‘Corbin Sambrano Wellness Center’ project,” the El Paso County said in a news release.
The County said it has allocated funding from various sources for this project, including funds from opioid settlements and federal grants.
“It’s been a long road involving many people over many years. I am grateful to County staff for their work with the community to develop a project that serves all of El Paso County but is sensitive to the history and current context of its neighbors. We want to make sure that we are good neighbors and provide a welcoming space in South Central El Paso,” County Commissioner David Stout said.
For precautionary measures, everyone in attendance will be required to stay 75 feet away from the demolition site and all attendees are required to wear closed-toe shoes.
