KTSM News – El Paso County Sheriff’s Office arrests 60 people on criminal warrants

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said it arrested 60 people with outstanding criminal warrants between May 5-16.

These arrests are part of the Sheriff’s Office’s “ongoing commitment to public service and accountability by indentifying, locating and apprehending individuals wanted for various criminal offenses across the County,” the Sheriff’s Office said in its release.

“Our team is focused on doing the work that keeps our communities safe,” Sheriff
Oscar Ugarte said. “These arrests reflect the dedication of our deputies to ensure that those
who evade justice are held accountable.”

Offenders who were arrested included people who were wanted for child sex crimes, theft, driving while intoxicated, aggravated robbery, assault, possession of a controlled substance and other charges.

The Fugitive Apprehension Unit will continue its efforts to pursue fugitives and encourages
anyone with information about wanted individuals to contact the Sheriff’s Office.
