EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 63-year-old woman was arrested after she assaulted a detective last week in far East El Paso, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said.

The Sheriff’s Office says on Wednesday, July 2, a detective with its Criminal Investigations Division was attempting to serve a writ of sequestration at a residence on the 12100 block of Tower Hills Drive.
Rosana Lara, 63, then physically assaulted the detective and fled the scene, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit was able to locate and apprehend Lara on Monday, July 7. She was arrested and charged with assault on a peace officer or judge, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Lara was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility under a $2,500 bond.
