EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – El Paso County will host a groundbreaking ceremony for renovations at Agua Dulce Skatepark, 15371 Kentwood Ave., at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17.
“The renovations are a key initiative identified in the County’s 2021 Parks Master Plan, reflecting the County’s commitment to enhancing recreational opportunities and addressing community needs,” read a news release sent by the County.
The County said the skatepark is scheduled for completion by April 2025 and is partially funded by a Texas Parks and Wildlife Grant awarded to the County in 2021.
The skatepark will include a new grind ledge, flat rail, quarter pipe, A-frame, pyramid combo and a hipped bank, according to the County.
In addition to the skatepark, the project will include renovations to the existing basketball court.
