EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso County announced that it will be expanding the hangars at the Fabens Airport.
A groundbreaking ceremony will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 23 at the Fabens Airport, located at 161 Fabens Road.
The expansion project is to transform and promote growth and development of the Fabens Airport, according to the news release by the County.
El Paso County has secured funding from the Economic Development Administration and from general funds for the design of eight hangars and construction of three new hangars, according to the County.
The hangar expansion is one of five projects at the airport that will be under construction this year, the County said. The five projects will account for more than $20 million in investments in the airport by local, state and federal governments, El Paso County said.
