Writers, get your pens ready. The City of El Paso Public Libraries is returning the Mother’s and Father’s Day essay competition, sponsored by the Great Khalid Foundation.
According to the City of El Paso, the contest is free to enter for local students ages 5 to 18. The topic is “I love my mom/dad because…”
Students may enter both contests, but the entries must be submitted separately. All entries must be original and not made using third-party apps such as ChatGPT. According to the City, any plagiarized work will be disqualified.
Winners from both categories will win prizes for their mom or dad on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
