EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso MS Community will be hosting the “MS Warrior Walk” in honor of Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month to support members in the El Paso region with the condition.
The walk will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 22 in Memorial Park, located at 1701 N. Copia St.
“Our goal is to educate our community about MS and provide a supportive environment for those affected by it,” Natalie Asencio-Flores, director of the El Paso MS Community, said. “By coming together, we can make a difference and show our MS warriors that they are not alone.”
“Multiple sclerosis is a chronic, often disabling disease of the central nervous system, affecting more than 2.8 million people worldwide,” according to the news release by the El Paso MS Community.
According to the organization, the walk will feature educational booths, live entertainment and opportunities to connect with local support resources.
